Love Fest.

So, I’ve promised myself that I was going to pick back up on the blog…so I’m going to really TRY this week. BC quite frankly, I want to be as cool as my few tumblr friends/followers..(Maybe I should include some pictures or something?)

Love Fest Example numero uno:

I had quite the weekend, full of my nephew’s birthday stuff, playing drunken dodgeball in my brother’s backyard with my Mom (yes, DJ), my brother, sister-in-law, 6 and (soon to be 4) year old nephew’s (Gavin/Gannon) and another couple and their 4 year old, Cooper. Insanely fun  (Seriously). My Mom was hilarious, my shorts were too big and may have exposed my unds (full word:underwear), and some pool time.

This game soon turned into my brother and I pelting the ball at each other, him putting me in a headlock, and me furiously running back and forth to my beer, making sure there were no bugs in it. Needless to say..everyone needs a night like this..drunkie or no drunkie—it was just FUN and you could TOTALLY feel the love.

Cue LoveFest Example # 2:

I get STUPID excited everytime I get to see foodorfiction, and I KNOW that the feeling is mutual. Given enough time spent together, there are bound to be some tears of laughter involved—there were no tears this time around, but the laughter ensued of course. Which I must say, I felt super special when I received a FB notification stating that she and her hubby thought I should “move in” so that we could always hang out. I LOVE that. I can’t wait to spend more time with you this summer, Carrie! (You will KILL on that bar exam, btw. :-) )

LoveFest Example # 3:

My buddies, Andrea and her fiance’ Lee are back on the East Coast! I’m THRILLED about this, but just when I was really liking the way: “Oh I have friends that live in LA” was rolling off the tongue, we all got the great news that they are back on the East Coast for a few months. LOVE everything about this. I’m sure it eases the mind a bit for the remainder of their wedding planning.  *Bonus: celebrating their engagement at a sweet poolside party this weekend with my buds. :-)

All I can say is this:

Despite what may seem like the end of the world for me sometimes. I’m pretty lucky, so Love Fest it is.

Cue curtain. End Scene.

Oh, this? That’s just the C-String….Didn’t you know? This little baby was the topic of conversation at dinner last night (we’re classy folks, after all)..and it literally was a ‘see it to believe it’ type of thing (at least for me). Bring on the hysterics…. There was such a look of bewilderment on everyone’s face when this was brought up.  There were thoughtful questions asked like: “Really? How does it stay on?” “So basically it’s like a slap bracelet?” “Where did you see this again?” Great Evening I’d say.

Dude’s onto something. I randomly stumbled across his blog/twitter because some (random) person began following me on Twitter (that’s a story in itself), but the point is….this blog: The Daily Love has got some good stuff going on. I can dig it..and I totally appreciate it. 

I especially enjoyed today’s post: ” How to Start Over.”

One for the record books…(Kind of).

Today was hair appointment Wednesday. To those that check here time to time, you KNOW that hair appointment Wednesday is not just any ordinary day. My set appointment is every other Wednesday at 5 PM. I very RARELY make it out before 8 PM 10 PM (FACT) but the last couple weeks that I’ve gone, it’s been 2 maybe 3 hours (TOPS). Today I left work a bit earlier (4:30) to beat the crowd. (Note: having a standing appointment does NOT matter…it all depends on what you’re getting done).

Getting to the point…

I got highlights put in AND was able to socialize with a cousin AND made it out by 6:45.

That’s still TOO long…but it’s not 10 PM. I’ll take it and felt the need to write it down. 

**Note: I wish I felt better about taking self “portraits” to show you guys the end product..but I’m still working on my blogging skills AND I’m not that girl. (Think: girl in the awkward (silly) mirror shot—NO, Thanks).

On to the next one…

                                         

dreadddinggg saying goodbye to these shoes for the season.  They’ve been a lot of fun, ESPECIALLY the boots (left)…but I’m looking forward to pedicured toes and no tights.

The lion gets me every time. I’m talking make my gut hurt a little bit type of laughter. This has been coming on TV quite a bit lately, so I thought it only fair to share.

Guilty (un)Pleasure

Umm..I have no problem admitting that I’m a Kardashian fan. I’ve been known to religiously watch their shows (and probably will continue to do so) but this is borderline AKA Grounds for dismissal.

Call it ‘fun,’ but NO ‘SINGING!’

The-Dream, who produced this “jam” is one of my favorite Hip-Hop/R&B artists.  He’s written some really popular songs and has some really catchy songs of his own, but this…hmmm…all good for publicity right? Good use of Autotune?

The twitter feeds and RT’s trying to make this song happen are crazy as well. WOMP.
